Postcard number 28 Main Street Parade c.1912

No. 28 – Cottage Grove, Oregon. Circa 1912 – Main Street looking west. This photo was taken before Highway 99 was built and is approximately at what would be the intersection of Main Street and Highway 99. On the left, girls are lined up to participate in a parade next to the Spray & Co. Flour Feed Store. Next is the Home Restaurant, The Wallpaper Store and the newly completed Cooper Building which housed the Rees & Wallace General Merchandise Store by December of 1913. In the next block at 8th Street, the Stewart-Hinds building and the Thompson Hotel. On the right the Oregon Woolen Outfitters.

What was the business that was in the Cooper Building the longest?
